What specific bacteria were tested with the UVC light?

Laboratory testing has shown that the UV-C light in the LRAC vacuum effectively eliminates specific types of bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus albus, and Staphylococcus aureus, with a kill rate exceeding 99.9%. These bacteria were selected for testing due to their common presence in household environments and their potential to cause illness.

What was the methodology used to test the effectiveness of LRAC’s UV-C light?

The methodology used for testing the effectiveness of the UVC light

Sample Preparation: Glass was used as the carrier for the bacterial sample, and the sample was placed 2 cm away from the sterilisation module during the test.

Exposure Time: The sample was exposed to the sterilisation module for 120 seconds.

Results: The report presented the average colony count before and after exposure to the UVC light. The kill rate and kill value were calculated based on the colony count.

Are there any limitations to the test result conducted to other UVC lights?

It's important to note that:

  • This report specifically focuses on a single UVC light.
  • Results may not be directly transferable to other modules with different designs, power outputs, or sterilisation wavelengths.
  • The testing conditions used in this report are specific.
  • The effectiveness against other bacteria or microorganisms may vary.

How does the LRAC vacuum UV-C light disinfection technology work?

LRAC vacuum utilizes UV-C light, a specific type of ultraviolet radiation, to effectively disinfect surfaces. UV-C light damages the DNA of bacteria and viruses, preventing their replication and effectively killing them.

What types of surfaces can the LRAC vacuum clean?

LRAC vacuum is designed for cleaning soft fabric materials such as beds, blankets,
pillows, matts, couches, mattresses, clothes, and towels.

Why LRAC doesn’t have a stronger suction compare to a regular vacuum?

LRAC vacuum features a level of suction that precisely removes dirt, dust, and allergens while remaining gentle enough to protect delicate fabrics.

A stronger suction could result in:

  • The vacuum would pull the fabric too tightly, potentially stretching it.
  • The strong suction would make it harder to move the vacuum across the fabric smoothly, resulting in uneven cleaning.
  • Delicate fabrics could get caught in the vacuum’s suction, causing snags or tears.

How does the LRAC vacuum UV-C light disinfection technology compare to other methods of disinfection, such as steam cleaning or chemical disinfectants?

LRAC vacuum UV-C light disinfection technology works by directly damaging the DNA of bacteria and viruses, effectively killing them. This is different from steam cleaning, which primarily relies on heat to kill microorganisms, and chemical disinfectants, which use chemical agents to disrupt their cellular processes. The effectiveness of UV-C light disinfection can vary depending on the specific wavelength and exposure time used, while steam cleaning and chemical disinfectants have their own limitations and potential drawbacks.

How long will the UV-C light and the product last?

LRAC vacuum is designed to last 10 years and provide a long-lasting disinfection.

Is the LRAC vacuum safe to use around pets and children?

Yes, LRAC vacuum is designed with safety in mind. However, we recommend always following the instructions provided in the user manual.
